Getting Around: City Launches New Bike Sharing Program
The City in partnership with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, launched on August 29, 2013, the Bay Area Bike Share program in San Francisco. The program will include initially 350 bikes spread across 35 stations. The Bay Area Bike Share system provides an easy and affordable option for making short trips. To use the system, you must join as member; options include Annual ($88), 3-Day ($22), 24-Hour ($9), or pay-by-month Annual ($99 paid in installments of $8.25/month - Coming soon!). Because the Bay Area Bike Share system is intended help you get quickly get from Point A to B, you can make an unlimited number of up to 30-minute trips during your Membership period at no additional cost.
